EE Times Europe spoke with the influential CTOs of three of the world’s top
I10 semiconductor companies—Intel’s Greg Lavender, Nvidia’s Michael Kagan and
AMD’s Mark Papermaster—for insights into the industry’s evolution and direction.
Each of these leaders started working in technology in the early 1980s, when the
biggest trend driving the sector was toward putting a computer on every desktop.
Now, 40 years later, they are captains of innovation in a domain that’s changing faster
than ever, serving the needs of applications ranging from IoT solutions to the most
powerful supercomputers.
The three CTOs shared their perspectives on an evolving industry and talked about
some of the unique ways their respective companies are approaching the market. ■
