In the wake of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (Paris agreement) from global road transport, vehicle manufacturers are increasingly spending more and more on research and development of powertrain and fuel technologies. To align with the Paris Agreement, which outlines a goal to limit global warming to below 2˚C, this will take GHG emissions from global road transport in 2050 to significantly lower levels than today. In this newsletter, we will analyze the evolution of car manufacturing to meet Paris climate goals. Other topics are electrification trends, power supplies design and more! The latest PowerUP podcast with Hassane El-Khoury, President and Chief Executive Officer, onsemi, Mark Drucker, Chief Executive Officer, Silanna Semiconductor North America and Alex Lidow, CEO, Efficient Power Conversion (EPC), will introduce the power forum agenda at electronica on Nov. 15-18, 2022.
